Married authors of the newly released Murderville II, Ashley & JaQuavis, are a multiple New York Times bestsellers list writing team. The pair of Flint, Michigan natives is determined to give back to their fans and support new authors and have launched a new eBook contest with the support of Cash Money Content.

“It’s about educating and exercising our minds. We put together this contest to encourage young authors to write their stories,” Ronald “Slim” Williams said exclusively to AllHipHop.com. “Our music is at the forefront of entertainment and we’ve gotten there by telling our stories through music.  The latest chapter for Cash Money is books. The Cash Money Young Authors Draft gives one young urban author a chance to get their story published and heard with an eBook deal with Cash Money Content Books.”

The Cash Money Content Young Authors Draft contest is open to college students who are completing bachelors, associate, or trade school degrees at an accredited college or university, and have completed at least the first chapter of a work of fiction. One winner will receive an eBook deal with Cash Money Content, a new Apple iPad, and official merchandise from YMCMB.

The winner will enter into a 50/50 profit-sharing agreement with CMC. eBook pricing will be decided upon by publisher. The full work does not have to be fully completed by time of entry, but must be completed by May 1, 2013. Upon publication the work should be either of novella length (approximately 20,000-40,000 words) or of full novel length (approximately 70,000-90,000 words), unless otherwise agreed upon by author and publisher. CMC’s publishing team will work with entrants to edit their material, create a unique cover, and promote the book under the Cash Money Content label.

To enter, submit your full name, contact information (email, phone and address), name of your college of enrollment, year in school and in order to confirm your enrollment one of the following: sending your submission with your .edu e-mail address, sending a current or upcoming class schedule, or sending a scan of your student ID. All entries should be submitted via email to CashMoneyContent@gmail.com, with the subject line: CMC Young Author’s Draft – entrant’s name.

All entries must be received by October 31, 2012. A winner will be announced on December 15, 2012 by CMC authors and Ashley & JaQuavis. More information on the Cash Money Content Young Author’s Draft Contest is available at the CMC Facebook page.
