Monica Has Been Mrs. Shannon Brown For Two Months?

Monica Shannon Brown

If you were hoping for all kinds of grandiose festivities for Monica’s wedding to her younger baller boo Shannon Brown, the joke’s on you.

It would appear that Ms. Thang has been Mrs. Brown since before the end of 2010.

The rumors have been swirling for two months that Mo and Shannon got married prior to her moving in with her fiance in LA in November. The marriage took place in front of the couple’s parents.
Over the weekend, a reader emailed me to say that Monica went into the Clayton County office 2 weeks ago to change her last name to Brown.

Normally, I would call my good friend, Monica, and ask her to confirm the rumors myself, but I decided to do what other bloggers stopped doing — research the rumors myself.
The rumors are true: Monica and Shannon Brown are indeed married. An official with the NBA also confirmed the marriage, which took place in Los Angeles on November 22, 2010.

A friend of Shannon Brown’s says he is relieved that the news is out because he respects his wife and he has been wearing his wedding band recently. The friend said Shannon and Monica plan to wed officially in front of family and friends (again) in Los Angeles in June.

Lil Jon Owes The IRS...

Lil Jon

So, why do famous people go on shows like “Celebrity Apprentice?” Maybe it’s the fun of meeting Donald Trump and listening to him yell “You’re fired!”

Or maybe it’s to make a little money.

It seems several of the contestants on the new season are in deep hock to the feds or to their states. Here’s a list that the Detroit News compiled detailing the tax woes of “Apprentice” hopefuls.

Among the list is rapper Lil Jon. The IRS filed a $638,937 lien against him in South Carolina, the report said.

Star Jones, LaToya Jackson, Gary Busey, Dionne Warwick and Jose Canseco are also mentioned for owing back taxes in varying amounts.

T-Pain Releases Booty Symphony Free App

T-Pain may not be in the limelight musically as much as in the past, but he has been finding new ways to expand and connect music with technology. Following the success of his Autotune iPhone app the singer/rapper/producer has teamed up with Android to create a brand new Free app called Booty Symphony (immediately shakes head upon reading). With this new Free app, you can basically compile booty shakin clips to create a master mix around three Nappy Boy Entertainment tracks and share them with your friends via facebook, twitter, and email. Follow the jump for a preview of the app and hear about their contest for the best video.

If you have an Android, get the app HERE.

Tapping that app has never felt this good. Introducing Booty Symphony, the new app powered by T-Pain’s label Nappy Boy Entertainment. The app lets users conduct 30-second music videos from “Booty Soundboards” based on songs from the Nappy Boy catalogue including Tay Dizm’s “Point Em Out” and Young Cash’s “I’m a Freak” and “I Support Single Mothers.” Every time you tap a booty, a new sound and rump-shaking visual is added to the mix. And just in case you want additional “assets”, Booty Symphony lets users upload their own juicy videos to the soundboard.

Since it takes a lot of energy to shake all these booties, Nappy Boy will reward the most popular Booty Symphony video with the ultimate prize – 1,000 cans of “Booty Sweat” energy drink. Making the pot even sweeter is the fact that these 1,000 cans are some of the last “Booty Sweat” energy drinks slated for production, ever!
