After releasing his summer single, “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not,” Alabama-born rapper, Rich Boy, wants his fans to know he’s back and he has more to show for it than just his music.
What began as an idea stemmed in an L.A. grocery store turned into reality last Monday (November 29), as Rich officially released his pre-paid, re-loadable, debit MasterCard with Plastic Cash International LLC. The company works exclusively with MasterCard creating a product for teens, young adults, and college-bound kids to stay out of debt. Brian Newberry, CEO of Plastic Cash International LLC says that the card is a “fit [for] their lifestyle.”
Russell Simmons was the first hip-hop affiliate to create a card such as this – the Rush Card – but the Southern lyricist is the first Interscope Records artist to partner with such a major company and create this product. “I feel like it’ll help America if we learn at an early age how to manage this money,” Rich told XXLMag.com. He continued by saying, “I’m tryna reach every neighborhood; not just on a profit situation, but just giving people learning experience [on] what to do with this money, this new, digital, plastic money.”
Plastic Cash International LLC is currently partnered with various musical talents, but said it was a no-brainer when adding Rich Boy to that roster. “Rich was a great artist and somebody we know was on our hit list,” Newberry said. “He’s socially conscious about his community [and] fans, and his team behind him, they’ve got it together. They’re aggressive, and that’s what we look for. We have a great relationship with Rich and his guys.”
Rich Boy and Plastic Cash have admirable plans for their partnership as the community-oriented artist intends to visits a number of schools throughout the country to highlight the importance of money management.
The card is available in local stores as well as online at www.myplash.com. Be sure to look out for Rich Boy’s upcoming album, Resurrected in Diamonds, coming soon.

The musical and holiday celebration, which kicks off at 10 p.m. ET, will also include appearances from Willow Smith, Jason Derülo, La Roux, Mike Posner, Natasha Bedingfield and Far East Movement. Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie will host the Hollywood portion of the bi-coastal celebration, while Seacrest and McCarthy report live from Times Square. Keeping with tradition, Clark will be counting down to midnight from the inside of ABC studios.
Seacrest, who began hosting the event after Clark suffered a stroke in 2004, said in a statement that he invited McCarthy to join in on the festivities after remembering the former "Singled Out" co-host's broadcasting skills. "I was reminded how great Jenny is at live broadcasting when she recently stopped by my radio show. That day, with Dick's blessing, I invited her to join us in Times Square!"
The "American Idol" host isn't the only one looking forward to McCarthy's inclusion in the celebration this year. "Jenny is a great addition to this year's show," Larry Klein, producer of the special, said. "She is funny, relatable and high energy, and she will be great with our New Year's crowd, Ryan and Dick."

European Tour With J. Cole
“Just being with Cole and going to Europe for the first time, I wanted to do something different set wise and setlist wise. I wanted to bring an adaptive show out there. Cole is in my city tonight, man we are just having fun. Just having fun being young and rapping and living and enjoying it. Being good, responsible people, I mean we meet on a whole bunch of levels. It’s great because before I got to talk to him I didn’t know where our relationship was heading. When I finally got to meet him I realized like ‘oh man, this guy is so easy to like.’ I know what people are trying to do between us, but I’m going to like this guy and we are going to be friends and make great music together, hopefully for years to come. Cole is one of those guys that I can coexist with even though we do two completely different things. I mean, the one area where we meet on is lyricism, but that should be the case with any rapper regardless of genre. I meet on lyricism with a lot of people. There are a lot of lyrical cats out there doing great shit. I mean, it’s really easy for me and Cole to get along, and getting along with someone like that usually leads to great music so being on tour that long and me having a new album on the way and him finishing his project, you never know. It’s something I want to do so I’m all in man, it’s whatever. ”
